Your love story.

YOUR FAMILY. YOUR LIFE.

Finding the right family photographer for you is important. If you don't find the answers to your questions here, please drop me a line and I'll be in touch.

What's the best way to tell if you'd be the right photographer for my family?

I'd say look around this website and see if the images you see here speak to you. Read the blog and you will get some idea about who I am and how I work, as well as tips about prepping for your session. I believe strongly that good family photographs should document feelings and personalities and not just faces. I create images that are soulful and slightly romantic -- images that focus on your connection with your family. I love working with people who are prepared to let their guard down, get cuddly, be silly and smile because they want to, not have to (the camera can tell)!  If you're more comfortable with "everyone smile at the camera" portraits, there are many other photographers who specialize in that.

How much do your services cost and do we receive digital images?

I have a few different packages to suit various needs and budgets. Packages start at $455 and each one includes digitals. Please get in touch and I can provide you with full package details.

How will I know how to prepare for our shoot?

I do a pre-session consultation before every session, much of which is to help you prepare for your session We go over location, wardrobe and posing tips. You'll also find loads of info to help you get ready in the blog posts on this site!

Are you vaccinated against COVID-19?

Yes. I miss our pre-COVID universe and care about the health of my family, community and clients. I received my third COVID-19 vaccine in December 2021.

Do you do mini sessions?

I do not offer group mini sessions (the type in which multiple families are photographed in 30-minute blocks on one day). It is really important to me to invest time in knowing and taking time to capture the families I photograph in order to create something beautiful and authentic to each of them.

Do you have a client closet from which I can choose a wardrobe item for my session?

I do have a small client closet with some items for women. All of the dresses are "bump friendly" for maternity clients. You can find pictures of the items in the closet on my Pinterest page. I also have other pin boards with wardrobe ideas and sources to help you find items for your session.

Are you doing at-home newborn sessions now that indoor photography is permitted again?

I am! Your newborn is only new for a short time. I know how important it is to document those early days and celebrate the growth of your family. I'm happy to do your photos inside your home and masked.

Where do you do your outdoor sessions?

I have a few outdoor locations that I prefer to use for sessions based on their landscape, how busy they are and whether we can have good light for your session. I scout them before your session so we know what to expect (and whether they are still in good shape).  Some locations also require permits in order to be used for photography. Be sure to check yours in advance!

What happens if we get rained out?

I typically schedule your session date and a rain date at the same time, to be safe. If we have terrible weather both days, we will find another time to do your session that works for both of us because I want you to have those beautiful photos! Often, a little flexibility goes a long way. We can start a bit earlier on the day of your session to avoid incoming weather and be done before it hits. On the other hand, if you are happy to do your session in the rain (some adventurous people are!) I will pack a towel and see you there!
