I'm a family photographer, not a blogger. So why is there a blog on this site?
For years, I've heard photography educators and website gurus say, "You need a blog," They said it would allow me to talk about my clients, but I felt that my clients' privacy was important. They said it was a way to show my work, but I said there's a portfolio on this site for that. They said it was good for website search rankings. I still wasn't moved.
Then recently I came across someone who said, "You can use it to help your clients and people who are looking for a photographer -- to answer their questions, let them know more about how you work, figure out if you're the right photographer for them and connect better with them." Okay, now I'm listening.
It's easy for photographers to forget how much or little others may know about all that goes into what we do, and most importantly, all that our clients need to know to both choose the right family photographer and get the most out of their session. So that's what I'm aiming to do with this blog. It's here to help you. I hope you'll find useful info here and that it helps you to get to know me and the way I work a bit better. If you ever have any questions about what you read here, drop me a line or toss in a comment and I'd be happy to fill in any blanks.
